"A Farewell [xanga + old aim sn] Ode" by Julia Park
Shedding an old skin,
Finding a new,
Say goodbye to this xanga,
Because now I'm through.

It's been about 1,041 days since I started off with this particular xanga.
And now, more than ever do I realize how much I hate the spelling of my name as "joolia" -_-;

Find me elsewhere on xanga!

p.s.-slowly transitioning to a new screenname too.
xjjangjuliax will always be remembered :D

As mentioned in a previous entry, I've been a brave soul, attempting to include fish as a part of my food pyramid. I started off with very light amounts, and I became fond of something called tunafish. After the tunafish, I thought to myself "Hey, fish isn't too bad .. lemme go a step further and have me some of that sushi!". Bad move Julia, bad move.

In honor of our 200th day, we went to So Moon Nan Jib. He ordered kalbi while I was determined to eat hweduhpbahp (it's like raw fish, rice, mushrooms, lettuce, etc. mixed with red pepper paste). Little did I know how unprepared I was for what was ahead of me ..

First of all, I would like to say that there was an unjustly amount of rice. Second of all, there are stinkin fish tanks all around the restaurant .. all those fish were staring at me as I mixed my rice with raw fish. Also, I saw some bits of scaley-ness on the fish. T_T Plus, it didn't help that the people in the table next to us were talking about the fish in a particular tank [which was also in perfect view from where we were sitting -_-]. And so, sadly enough I was unable to eat my meal ..

Basically, to sum up my encounter with raw fish .. let's just say that I'm not too keen on this particular resolution to include fish in my food pyramid. -_- Tunafish I can handle, other fish I'm not too sure of.

And also, never am I going to order raw fish, nor will I be able to embrace the thought of a tank of fish  to be considerably "cute".

Um, I went over my phone bill again. -_-;
And so, as a result, my parents have taken my phone away from me for about 2 weeks. T_T

Meh, I deserve it, I should've known better.

So basically, I'm phoneless, I barely know my dorm phone number (plus, I doubt I would be in, especially without a cellphone -_-), .. so if you need to reach me, call my secretary to contact me [my secretary is Yuri, btw -_-].

So like, it's the second day of the semester.
I'm working at the Livingston College Bookstore from 11am to 4pm, I have 2 classes on College Ave from 4:30pm-7:30pm, and I end up getting out of work by like 4:10pm. I don't even get a chance to count my till cuz I'm in such a hurry and I'm all crazy running around the store.

Then, it happened ..

As I rushed outside of the bookstore, I slip on the wet floor and fall [really hard] on my left side. Everything's a blur and all I hear is a chorus of "Oh my god!" and "Are you okay?". What perfect timing too .. the bookstore was packed with people, who are waiting on line, and who also have a perfect view of my great fall. -_-

And what's my response?

"I'm late for class!"
.. and I ran out. -_-

Sigh. Snow sucks. And so do Timbs. T_T

Resolution #2 for 2005: Give fish a chance.

Everyone knows that how much Julia hates fish. Just the sight and smell of fish makes me want to literally cry. They're scaly, ugly, and just plain yuck.
Cartoon fish [ex: "Finding Nemo"] are okay since they look friendly and non-scaly.

What's scarier than a real fish?
A real deep sea fish. TT_TT

But yea, after all those protests and grossed-out looks whenever my friends talked so lovingly about their beloved fishy foods .. I decided to give fish a shot at being part of my food pyramid.
.. Plus, I heard they're good for your health. -_-;

However, it will be a slow, gradual adjustment. -_-;
So no overwhelming meals of sushi, please. T_T

If there are any vegans out there offended by this entry, I'm sorry. T_T

Oh, the things I do for change .. =__=
